Former Wolves striker turned TV pundit Don Goodman has warned that new Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton will have to hit the ground running with results to avoid early scrutiny from his bosses.
The 54-year-old Sky Sports broadcaster has likened the Reds to clubs like Watford and Chelsea who have been trigger happy with their managers in recent years.
Hughton is Forest’s sixth permanent manager in the last four years following in the footsteps of Philippe Montanier (six and a half months), Mark Warburton (nine months), Aitor Karanka (12 months), Martin O’Neill (five months) and, more latterly, Sabri Lamouchi who lasted the longest at little more than 15 months.
