Gary Brazil has been promoted and signed a new long-term contract with Nottingham Forest.
Brazil had been Forest's academy manager but he will now serve as director of football development.
After recent turmoil around the first team set up with a change in manager, Brazil's promotion is a major boost for the club.
He has been a leading factor in the development of Forest's top young talent from Joe Worrall, Brennan Johnson and Alex Mighten, to the recently departed Matty Cash.
Brazil told the club website: “Since the new ownership arrived at the club, their commitment to the further development of the academy has never wavered.
