Dunelm to repay JRS money as sales surge

Total sales jumped almost £100m during the first quarter of Dunelm's financial year, new figures have confirmed.

The Leicestershire-headquartered listed company has reported sales of £359.1m for the 13 weeks to 26 September 2020, up from £262.6m during the same period in the prior year.

The percentage of its sales through its digital channels also increased from 17.6 per cent to 29.7 per cent.

Dunelm has also announced it will repay the money it received under the Job Retention Scheme in its most recent financial year, totalling £14.5m.
