Heartfelt single in memory of 'proud' Nottingham taxi driver who died in horror crash

The son of a taxi driver who died in a horror crash has released a heartfelt single in memory of his 'proud' father.

It's been named 4th of July after the day Gurmit Singh Matharu lost his life when another motorist overtook a car in the Gregory Boulevard area of the city and collided at speed head-on with the 54-year-old's taxi.

One of Mr Matharu's sons, 25-year-old Manny, teamed up with Nottingham artist Hex to release the track on Tuesday (October 13).

It has been accompanied with a picture of the Matharu family by the Golden Temple in India.
