New £600,000 market hall project in Coalville town centre back on as new contractor revealed

Work to build a new indoor market for Coalville will resume this month after a new contractor was appointed to complete the £600,000 project.

The much-anticipated town centre regeneration scheme involves the transformation of the derelict former Litten Tree pub, in Marlborough Square, into a new, modern indoor market.

However in July North West Leicestershire District Council revealed Peterborough's Westone Housing Ltd had pulled out of the project - blaming pressure on the business due to the coronavirus crisis for its decision.
