Nottingham students struggling to be ‘optimistic’ with new restrictions

Students in Nottingham have said it feels like the ‘rug has been pulled out from under them’ with how the situation at university has changed since the start of term with fines and restrictions.

Some of those studying at the University of Nottingham or Nottingham Trent University and living in residential areas feel “sad and disappointed” at what the year ahead in the city looks set to be like for them.

As Nottinghamshire entered Tier Two restrictions on Wednesday, October 14, freedoms available to students have been further restricted so that they can only attend venues and socialise indoors within single household groups.
