A moped rider stopped and attacked a man who took a photograph of him driving recklessly along a road.

Police said the moped rider, who had a passenger on his machine, assaulted the man at about 9.50am on Sunday September 13 in Mill Lane in Earl Shilton.

The 48-year-old victim, a member of the public, spotted a blue moped – vehicle registration number AE14 ZLY - being ridden recklessly and took a photo on his mobile phone.

The moped rider stopped and approached the photographer and argued with him before assaulting him and riding off.

The victim suffered minor injuries which did not not require hospital treatment.
