Admissions to Nottingham's hospitals due to coronavirus are 'rising fast', according to reports.
Outbreaks of the virus on some wards across both the Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital have also led to the closure of some bed units, while some routine operations have been cancelled as a result of the developing situation.
That is according to a message to consultants on Tuesday, October 13, which was seen by the Independent.
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the hospitals, confirmed admissions are on the up as a result of growing community infection rates in a statement to Nottinghamshire Live.
In the city alone 555 cases were recorded in the 24 hours up to October
