Go-ahead tipped for 35-storey tower and hotel plans

Proposals to construct a 35-storey apartment tower and a new hotel in Birmingham city centre have been recommended for approval.

Documents filed with Birmingham City Council show the scheme would cost £79m to construct while the hotel would be rated at three stars and feature 229 bedrooms if the go-ahead is granted by the authority at a virtual meeting of its planning committee on Thursday 22 October.

Designed by Corstorphine+Wright Architects, the proposals include 440 build-to-rent (BTR) apartments.

2020 Living is behind the proposals in Broad Street, Ryland Street and Grosvenor Street West which have been worked on by Taylor Grange Developments.
