Nottingham students feel they should be able to return home despite Tier 2 restrictions

Students should be allowed to return to their permanent homes and learn remotely if they do not carry coronavirus.

That is the view of many young people learning at Nottingham's two universities who feel their mental health is at risk when having to isolate in the city.

One student told Nottinghamshire Live she thinks students should be reimbursed a certain amount of their fees as learning and the overall university experience has been greatly impacted by the pandemic.

This week the British Safety Council - a national charity that considers health and safety issues - has said students "need to be released from their accommodation and return home to study remotely" at universities such as
