What life is like on a street which is split into Tier 1 and Tier 2 lockdown restrictions

Many people may think it's difficult to understand the new tiered system for Covid-19 alert levels, but for residents on a street in one village, the rules are even more confusing.

People living in Portland Road, Langwith, are separated evenly down the middle in both Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

And with this comes two completely different messages on Covid-19 restrictions.

Houses on one side of the road are governed by Bolsover District Council and Derbyshire County Council, and they fall into the 'Tier 1' medium alert for Covid-19 rules.

This means they can freely enter other peoples' homes and meet in nearby pubs, permitting that building remains under the same restrictions and they meet in groups
