Almost 570 new coronavirus cases recorded across Nottinghamshire in 24 hours

The Nottingham and Nottinghamshire areas have recorded a further 568 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours according to the latests figures.

Figures released by Public Health England on today (October 17) show 280 new Covid-19 cases were registered in the Nottingham today.

In total, 288 new cases have been recorded across the wider county of Nottinghamshire in the last 24 hours.

The Government said that, as of 9am on Saturday, there had been a further 16,171 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK.

It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 705,428.

The Government also said a further 150 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19, as
