Islam Slimani will be staying at Leicester City until at least January.
The Algerian striker had looked likely to move on from the King Power Stadium during the summer transfer window, having spent the last two seasons out on loan.
Slimani has completed temporary moves to Newcastle United, Fenerbahce and, most recently, Monaco. The striker impressed in France last season, netting nine goals in 18 Ligue 1 appearances.
Leicester were thought to be willing to let Slimani leave this summer, but a move never materialised.
That has led to calls for the 32-year-old to be drafted back into the first-team fold at the King Power Stadium, having yet not kicked a ball under the stewardship
