Burnley manager Sean Dyche has praised James Tarkowski for the way he handled speculation over his future amid Leicester City and West Ham interest.
The centre-half was said to be the subject of bids from both clubs, with reports claiming that City made a bid of more than £30 million for the player as they searched for defensive reinforcements. That bid was the second that Leicester made for the centre-back.
Having seen that bid knocked back, Rodgers turned his attention back to Saint Etienne teenager Wesley Fofana, eventually bringing the defender to the King Power Stadium for a fee of around £32 million.
