A Lincoln man has thanked Tesco for giving him “a sense of worth” after years of agony and worry aggressively fighting cancer.
Keith Grover first dismissed “piercing” pain from the front to the back of his body as nothing more than wear and tear.
However, after a year of enduring pain so bad sometimes he slept in his chair, he decided to get checked out.
Doctors diagnosed him with cancer of the spine and scans showed a huge tumour had grown along the bone causing fractures.
Mr Grover underwent gruelling sessions of platinum-based chemotherapy – and it worked.
