Street artist claims responsibility for 'Banksy' artwork in Nottingham

An artist has claimed responsibility for graffiti painted on a wall in Nottingham in the style of Banksy.

The work, on a wall off Ilkeston Road in Nottingham, appeared in the city on Tuesday (October 16) and depicts a child hula-hooping with the missing tyre of a nearby bike.

The piece used a similar style to the famous incognito artist and speculation started to mount it could have beenn a genuine Banksy, though art critics in the city were sceptical of its "authenticity".

Now, Birmingham-based artist 'Itchers' has contacted Nottinghamshire Live to take credit for the work.
