Excitement has been building across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire over the weekend after anonymous artist Banksy seemingly confirmed his artwork in the city.
The mural, painted on a wall in Rothesay Avenue, Lenton, appeared in the city earlier in the week and became known to residents on Thursday (October 15).
It depicts a young girl hula-hooping with the missing tyre of a nearby bicycle, and its stencil style caused speculation to mount over whether it was indeed a Banksy original.
Art critics had their doubts over its "authenticity" initially, but an Instagram post by the world-renowned street artist appeared to confirm the news on Saturday.
