'Excitement' for what's next for city's £100m waterside neighbourhood

A new road could be built to improve access to a £100m waterside neighbourhood on the banks of the River Trent.

Located off Trent Lane, between Nottingham and Colwick, more than 70 houses have so far been built at Trent Basin and the development company behind it, Blueprint Regeneration, recently bought a near 15-acre plot to complete the rest of the build.

Plans for a new road into have been submitted on behalf of Nottingham City Council and, once built, it would link Trent Street to Trent Basin.

A former warehouse building could also be demolished under the proposal.
