Plans for major QMC car park put on hold

Plans to build a major multi-storey car park just outside of Nottingham city centre have been withdrawn.

Minster Developments wanted to build the facility, which would’ve held 1,500 vehicles, on the site of the former Bell Fruit Games site in Leen Gate in the suburb of Lenton, close to both a University of Nottingham campus and the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC).

The developer behind the scheme said the new car park would help alleviate the problems associated with parking at a nearby hospital complex.

However, according to documents seen by TheBusinesDesk.com, Nottingham City Council is now treating the planning application as withdrawn.
