Christmas Prep Europa in Corby-a98f2e77

Europa Warehouse

Corby’s newest employer is offering the highest rates of pay in the town, as well as a unique Christmas bonus to its staff and to new recruits, so that it can meet festive demand.

The site currently employs a team of 340 but is searching for an additional 60 recruits.

In what is expected to be the busiest Christmas for e-commerce on record, with predictions of an increase in online festive shopping by 46 per cent this year,[1] Europa Warehouse - which opened its state of the art site at Midlands Logistics Park in June this year is offering staff a bumper Christmas.

The award-winning logistics firm is expecting to see its e-commerce workload increase by 40 per cent (against original estimates) at its £60m 715,000 sq. ft site over the coming festive season.

Europa Warehouse is already offering the highest hourly rate for warehouse workers in the town.  Not only is the company offering the highest hourly rate to existing and new recruits, but Europa is also offering a £40 voucher for every employee plus a festive alcoholic gift.

The company is currently recruiting for around 60 members of staff, with no experience necessary to start straight away, with a variety of shifts available to suit, from morning, day, and evening.

As well as the highest standard hourly rate at £10- £11.50 per hour (depending on which shift is worked) the brand-new site takes the safety of its staff very seriously, providing temperature checks for every member of staff who arrive on site as well as PPE.  As well as excellent pay and conditions, Europa offers free refreshments and onsite subsidised food.

Europa Warehouse Logistics  Director, Maria Torrent-March said the online shopping boom as a result of the second national lockdown ahead of Christmas has resulted in a vast increase across Europa’s e-commerce client base.

She said: “It’s been a really challenging time for many people this year so we’re hoping this attractive pay and conditions will attract people that need a Christmas boost.

“It’s been an unprecedented time for us, we have had a huge increase in demand that we could never have predicted, so we’re offering these high rates of pay and bonuses to attract new members to the team to join us to ensure we get Christmas delivered for our customers.”

Europa Warehouse already operates award-winning warehouse sites in Dartford and Birmingham. This new facility is Europa’s largest investment to date and has doubled Europa Warehouse’s logistics capacity.

Europa Worldwide Group is an ambitious independent logistics operator with six divisions – Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, Europa Showfreight, Europa Warehouse, Europa Contact Centre, and Continental Cargo Carriers and has featured in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for two years running. Europa recently revealed its results for year-ending 31st December 2019, showing another 16.5% growth with a record turnover of £205million.
