A man and woman who were arrested in a Leicestershire village after a parcel containing cannabis worth £85,000 was intercepted as it arrived in the UK have been released from custody.
No further action will be taken against the pair, according Leicestershire Police, whose officers executed a warrant at an address in Ambergate Close, Broughton Astley, on Thursday, November 19.
They were arrested at the scene on suspicion of importing a Class B drug following the haul by border police.
Harborough Police had shared news of the arrests on social media, also stating that it was discovered that the man and woman were also wanted by immigration officials, having "absconded eight years ago".
