Former Leicester City favourite Emile Heskey is backing the Premier League leaders to stay the distance this season and establish themselves as “true title contenders” once more.
The Foxes achieved the unthinkable back in 2016 and, in their fifth season since then, look determined to have another crack at the top prize in domestic football.
Heskey, who enjoyed almost identical stats at Leicester and Liverpool, scoring 40 goals in 154 league appearances for the Foxes before hitting 39 in 150 showings following his record £11m move to Anfield in 2000, insists his home town club can threaten Liverpool’s crown this season.
