Residents have spoken out and called for more police patrols after a shooting in the Bulwell area.

Officers were called to reports a 25-year-old had been shot in the back during the early hours of the morning on Saturday, November 21. He was taken to hospital with "life-altering injuries".

An extensive cordon was in place in the Spindle Gardens and Dogwood Avenue area.

This had been lifted on Sunday morning.

Residents who spoke to our reporter said the general feeling was feel fairly safe in the area but would like to see more patrols in the area, especially so soon after the shooting.
