Alcohol often plays a part in most people's lives, one way or another.

We drink it with friends at the pub, over dinner with our families, at celebrations such as weddings, even at church. Most of us can drink socially.

But for many people in the UK and all over the world, alcohol can have a much more profound and dangerous impact.

Becoming addicted or dependant on alcohol is something that can change the best of people, flipping their life on its head and causing a great deal of harm.

Alcohol dependency can destroy families and take away life in the most serious cases.

But there is also hope. And that hope is that addiction
