Nottingham residents who may have an old coat or two are being asked to leave them on a rail at a community centre in Hyson Green.

These unwanted coats can then be picked up by those who are "struggling" this year, such as rough sleepers or those in poverty, to help them keep warm this winter.

Rob Bird, the manager of The Vine Community Centre in the Hyson Green area of Bobbers Mill Road, says the "community coat rail" will be placed outside every day.
