Sales at Jaguar Land Rover rose for the second quarter in succession at the end of 2020, new figures have confirmed. However, the total is almost 10 per cent down on the same period in 2019.
Retail sales for the quarter ending 31 December 2020 totaled 128,469 vehicles, 13.1 per cent higher than the 113,569 vehicles sold in the preceding period, but down 9 per cent on the same period last year.
China sales were "particularly encouraging", up 20.2 per cent on the prior quarter and 19.1 per cent year-on-year.
Retail sales were also up 31.7 per cent in North America, 26.6 per cent overseas and 20.5 per cent in Europe on the prior quarter
