Two Debenhams department stores in Nottinghamshire are set to reopen after the national lockdown, despite confirmation six branches were to permanently close.
Administrators of Debenhams have said 320 of the company’s workers will be affected as it decided to permanently close stores in six cities.
The Oxford Street shIop in London will close along with branches in Portsmouth, Staines, Harrogate, Weymouth in Dorset and Worcester.
The company started a liquidation process last month after failing to secure a last-minute rescue sale.
Debenhams’ administrator, FRP Advisory, has said it is continuing to talk with third parties over the potential sales of all or parts of the historic retail business.
The company said it remains in discussions
