A Manchester-headquartered financial adviser and asset manager has decided not to make an offer to buy NAHL Group, the Kettering-based company behind the National Accident Helpline brand.
The move by Frenkel Topping Group was first revealed in September 2020 after it snapped up a 6.11 per cent holding in the listed company.
In a statement, the group said: "Frenkel Topping and NAHL have engaged in constructive and open discussions and a period of mutual due diligence.
"It has however become apparent that a combination presents certain commercial and integration challenges.
"Therefore, the board of Frenkel Topping believes that other growth and acquisition opportunities are more compelling at this time and in the best interest of its
