A man who played a key in some of Nottinghamshire's biggest developments has 'left a legacy which will never be forgotten'.
Those were the words used by loved ones during the funeral of well-known Nottinghamshire man John Crofts, who died unexpectedly at the age of 76 on Boxing Day.
His family have been told his death is linked to the blood cancer he was diagnosed with in 2018.
Born in The Meadows, his funeral was held on Wednesday morning (January 13) at St Edmund's Church, Holme Pierrepont.
Speaking ahead of the service, daughter Louise Crofts, 49, said: "On arrival a piper will pipe him into the church.
