People have spoken of their surprise after a man in a usually quiet residential street was arrested on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism.
Special Branch officers from Counter Terrorism Policing East Midlands arrested a 34-year-old man in Fairfax Street, off Newark Road, Lincoln, at 6.50am on Wednesday, January 13.
He is in custody and police have been searching a terrace house and a shed in the garden.
Resident Adrian Godfrey told Lincolnshire Live: "It's usually a quiet street. I did hear some voices earlier on Wednesday morning but I didn't think anything of it.
"It's not very good to hear someone in the street has been arrested on suspicion of encouraging terrorism."
