Teen driver appears in court over smash which left dog walker fighting for life

A teenager has appeared in court after being charged in relation to a collision which left a dog walker in critical condition in hospital.

Connor Reason appeared over a video link from his Borrowash home to enter his plea at Derby Crown Court.

The 18-year-old pleaded not guilty to a single charge of causing serious injury through dangerous driving.

His hearing was told it is not in dispute that he was driving the vehicle which collided with the woman in Dale Abbey.

But it is disputed that the manner of his driving was dangerous on the day.
