Asda has announced it will become the first supermarket to provide in-store Covid vaccines, transforming its George clothing departments into vaccinations centres.
The supermarket has offered the use of all 238 of its stores with pharmacies to NHS England, including stores across Lincolnshire.
The hubs will operate from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week and have the capacity to administer 250 jabs per day.
A store in Birmingham will be the first to operate, where qualified Asda pharmacy colleagues will administer the vaccine to priority groups identified by the NHS.
Starting on the week commencing January 25, the Birmingham site is the first Asda pharmacy to be approved to support the Pfizer /BioNTech vaccine
