Five flood warnings for Derbyshire - with more rain on the way

Five flood warnings have been issued for Derbyshire as heavy rainfall could cause rivers to burst their banks.

The Environment Agency has released alerts for the River Erewash, River Trent, River Wye, Bottle Brook and Lower Dove Brooks and Egginton Brook - with large parts of the county at risk of flooding.

Travel issues are expected as roads risk becoming submerged under water, and residents have been warned to prepare for the potential flooding of homes.

Low-lying agricultural land and roads around Pinxton, Langley Mill and Ilkeston could see burst banks between 7.30am and 6pm today as water levels remain high in the
