A total of six neighbourhoods in Nottinghamshire are now in the worst possible Covid infection rate category, according to the latest data.
Covid-19 is seemingly spreading more rapidly throughout the north of the county, with one area in Sutton-in-Ashfield now reporting an infection rate above 1,000 cases per 100,000 people.
The rates have also reached the highest category in the Forest Fields area of Nottingham city.
As of January 13 the UK recorded 1,564 deaths, the highest figure since records began.
According to data from the Government, six areas in Nottinghamshire now have an infection rate above 800 cases per 100,000 people, which is the highest category.
