HMRC’s new Nottingham office will open early next year, according to the government department.
Around 2,000 people will move into the new building going up in Queensbridge Road, opposite Nottingham Railway Station
Work on the Unity Square office block started in 2019, and it will replace the agency’s current site in the city next to the canal in Castle Meadow Road.
An HMRC spokeswoman said: “The Government Hub in Nottingham, Unity Square, is expected to open in early 2022.
“We are creating modern and collaborative future workspaces, and, when it is open, will accommodate around 4,000 HMRC colleagues alongside colleagues from other Government departments.”
The 10-floor block will become one of the organisation’s regional hubs,
