Go-ahead secured for major mixed-use scheme

A major mixed-use development aiming to provide more than 800 homes and new employment space in Nottinghamshire has secured the go-ahead. The scheme is expected to create hundreds of jobs in the region.

Nottinghamshire County Council is sought outline approval to redevelop approximately 100 acres of agricultural land at Top Wighay Farm in Linby.

A total of up to 805 dwellings are intended to be erected, along with approximately 532,000 sq ft of employment space, a new local centre and a primary school.

The local centre is identified as having local convenience stores, a pub/restaurant, a day nursery and small-scale offices, which will serve local residents of the site.
