Mixed use development near Hucknall receives outline permission

A proposed development for a 40-hectare mixed use scheme near Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, has received a resolution to grant permission by Gedling Borough Council, subject to the signing of a Section 106 Agreement.

Pegasus Group secured the approval on behalf of the Arc Partnership for Nottinghamshire County Council at Top Wighay Farm, Wighay Road.

The site will accommodate 805 homes, employment opportunities, a local centre and a new primary school as well as associated infrastructure, public open space, and landscaping and a safeguarded route for a potential future extension of the Tram network. In total 17.64 per cent of the homes will be affordable.

Contributions in terms of Section 106 payments will also be sought with regard to affordable housing; education; health, highways and public open space. A local labour agreement will also be secured through the Section 106.

Pegasus Group provided a multidisciplinary service including planning, design, landscape, economic, heritage and retail input to ensure the success of the application.
