A Leicestershire energy firm has solidified its reputation as one of the top suppliers in the country following its latest customer satisfaction commendation.
The news follows backing from Which? in January when the firm was ranked first in its annual energy satisfaction survey, toppling the likes of British Gas and EDF energy.
Achieving third spot with a 4.25 out of 5 rating, the firm, situated on Frog Island in the city centre, came just above fellow supplier Octopus, as energy firms strive to uphold their reputations following the recent Ofgem price cap increase
“This accreditation is testament to the hard work of our team over a difficult period for consumers,” said Outfox the Market CEO Keith Bastian.
“Tariffs and the money customers are paying are always at the height of concerns, but even more so given the recent industry regulated hikes.
“I am delighted to say that we are upholding our high levels of quality and care in this area, as demonstrated with this latest rating from Citizens Advice.”
Launched in 2017, independent energy supplier Outfox the Market has so far accrued over 100,000 customers with its renewable wind electricity supply.
It has long aimed to tackle the stranglehold of the energy industry once held by the ‘Big Six’ firms, such as British Gas, Scottish Power and Eon Energy.
Committed to a ‘customer first’ ethos in a green-conscious era, the business strives to uphold ‘clean’ standards by replacing every unit of electricity it takes from the grid, with a unit generated from a renewable source.
With independent firms topping the charts in recent consumer backed surveys from Which?, coupled with record numbers of us switching, CEO Keith Bastian believes the tide is finally starting to turn in the energy market.
“People are more clued-up these days,” he added. “Not only do we understand better the impact all of our choices make on the environment, but we’re also invested in a comparison mindset, where we compare everything from mobile phone deals to car insurance.
“That’s starting to be the case with energy research, and while I’d say comparison sites are great in that respect, don’t let them fool you.
“To view the entirety of the energy landscape available to you, I’d always urge customers to go direct, check consumer backed research such as Which? and Citizens Advice, and don’t let age-old reputations fool you into thinking a more expensive supply is better.”
Commenting on its findings, Alistair Cromwell, acting chief executive of Citizens Advice, said:
“Everyone should consider whether they are getting value for money from their supplier - paying more doesn’t always mean you will receive a better service.
“Don’t put up with it if it’s not good enough. Shop around if you can.”
