Foundations have been laid for an exclusive new housing development in Castle Donington that gains its inspiration from the world famous racetrack nearby.
Property company Ikon Residence has begun construction work on Spittal Heights, a development of 13 luxury homes nestled among its own woodland area in Spittal Hill.
The uniquely designed four and five-bedroom homes are named after celebrated racing drivers who have appeared at the Donington Park circuit, including Senna, Moss, Hill and Stewart.
The first properties are expected to be available this summer, with completion estimated by the end of the year. Despite the first completion dates being some months away, Spittal Heights has already sparked interest from as far afield as the United Arab Emirates.
With even the standard fittings aimed at the more discerning buyer, such as quartz work tops and high quality appliances from Smeg, Neff and Siemens, the developer is also offering a bespoke finishing service to buyers who specify their requirements early.
This could include individually tailored bathrooms or kitchens and, with some of the homes, the integrated media room could be adapted to become a fully immersive cinema experience.
Steve Thrower, managing director of Castle Donington based Marble Property Services, which is marketing the Spittal Heights development on behalf of Ikon Residence, said: “This is genuinely a very special collection of homes.
“The beautiful landscaped setting combined with it being within walking distance of the fabulous shops, bars and restaurants of Castle Donington’s village centre, makes Spittal Heights a truly aspirational lifestyle choice.”
Steve said that a number of prospective buyers from Derby, Nottingham and Leicester had already expressed a strong interest, along with the unexpected enquiry from UAE.
“With construction only just underway, the interest we’ve received so far suggests these homes will fly very quickly off the starting grid,” he added.
Ikon Residence contacted Marble Property Services shortly after the start of the first lockdown last March to discuss marketing the development. Marble had previously advised on the original land purchase.
A spokesperson for Ikon Residence, said: “We’re very excited to be bringing these high quality family homes to the market and we are passionate about the work we do and are all proud of this iconic development.
“I awarded Marble the contract to sell the properties due to their enthusiasm for the concept, their obvious professionalism and considerable local knowledge – as well as having a good level of understanding of who the potential buyers are.”
The 13 homes at Spittal Heights comprise four different design styles, all with their own parking spaces and garages, and ranging in price from £495,000 to £750,000.
