RHCV New Site Reveals Isuzu Dealership

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Isuzu Truck UK has once again combined forces with East Midlands truck distributor RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV).

RHCV’s newest and fifth site in Newark – which has just opened, has also been appointed as a dealer point for Isuzu Trucks. This follows the successful appointment of RHCV as its truck dealer in Northampton in the autumn of 2020.

The brand new 20,000 square-foot site at Tuxford Business Park, near Newark includes 8,000 square-foot of workshop space that can fit up to nine trucks in three bays.  It is part of a 3-acre site close to the A1, A17 and A46 road network. RHCV will be responsible for the full portfolio of Isuzu Truck services covering sales, service and parts for the area covering north-east Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, together with parts of Cambridgeshire.

Commenting on opening of its second Isuzu Truck dealership, Nigel Baxter, Managing Director at RHCV comments: “We have been delighted with our relationship with Isuzu Truck UK, the build quality of its product range, and now to add to our area of influence for the brand. This opportunity to open a second dealership with ITUK is perfect timing for us, as lockdown measures are being lifted, and we are really excited about the potential opportunities to grow the vehicle parc in our new franchise area.”

Nigel continues, “Positioned just to the north of Newark, our new branch is ideally suited to not only cover the nominated catchment area, but it will also act as an excellent service point for vehicles travelling north to south, or vice versa, down the A1.”

RHCV’s new site will service customers in the Newark area, as well north towards Ollerton, Retford and Worksop and is just 2 minutes from the A1.

“This is a vast area of opportunity for RHCV with excellent potential for expansion based on an established customer portfolio. The relationship between our two companies has been excellent from day one and we are looking forward to continuing to expand our business in the East Midlands with RHCV, said Richard Waterworth, head of sales, Isuzu Truck UK.

As well as Isuzu this is the first time that local operators of Renault Trucks (and other HGVs and LCVs) will have a local facility on their doorstep, with service to help reduce the downtime for their fleets.  The manager of the new site is Chris Turner, Dealer Point Manager, who has worked for RHCV since 2018.

Award-winning RHCV (founded in 1977) now has five sites across the East Midlands. Over the past three years RHCV has expanded into Northamptonshire, with a new site, broadened its offer with Isuzu, opened a brand new £3.5m facility in Nottingham and invested £70,000 in its Leicester site.

RHCV has been selling, leasing, servicing and repairing heavy (HGV) and light commercial (LCV) vehicles across the East Midlands for over four decades and employs 140 staff.
