Telford awarded £22.3m from Towns Fund

Telford has been awarded £22.3m from the government's Towns Fund for projects aiming to transform the town centre, create jobs and boost economic growth.

The funding will attract approximately an additional £30m of investment.

At the heart of the Town Deal Board's submission was the plans for Station Quarter, which include a digital skills and enterprise hub that will be provided by Telford College and the University of Wolverhampton and a partnership of local businesses. 

The development will also introduce town centre living into Telford, with eco-homes included in the plans.
