New appointment for award winning opticians practice

Award winning opticians practice, Lesley Cree Opticians based in Radcliffe on Trent has appointed a new receptionist and dispensing advisor called Rachel Clarke.

Rachel lives in Beeston and has a degree in fashion buying for retail which will help both with her customer facing role helping patients to choose new spectacle frames and accessories, but also guiding practice owner Lesley Cree on the latest fashion trends to consider bringing into stock.

Having previously worked for two national opticians brands as well as Luxottica, which is a leader in the manufacture and design of fashion, luxury and sports eyewear, Rachel will also bring lots of industry experience to her new role.

Commenting she said, "I am delighted to be joining such a great local opticians practice that is clearly focused on offering expert advice about eye care and wants to take time to provide each patient with a personalised and friendly service."

Lesley Cree added, "Rachel is a great addition to our team. We pride ourselves on getting to know our patients and ensuring they have a positive experience when visiting the practice. I am sure Rachel will fit in perfectly and it's great to have her on board."

In her spare time Rachel is kept busy by her two-year-old twins Rex and Poppy, and enjoys arranging activities they can do as a family.

In 2020, Lesley Cree Opticians invested in the new Optos 3D eye scanner, which is one of only 15 machines in the UK. The scan enables a much wider and highly magnified view of not only the central retina, but also the peripheral retina. Whereas traditional methods typically reveal only 15% of the retina at one time, the Optomap captures more than 80% of the retina in one panoramic image and enables much earlier detection of many retinal abnormalities.
