First glimpse of new homes coming soon to Market Rasen

Chestnut Homes has released the first images of a new housing development soon to be arriving in Market Rasen.

The computer-generated images offer house-hunters a first look at the style of properties being built at the new site off Caistor Road, which is known as Chantrey Park.

Construction work began in April on the initial phase of 101 homes, which will deliver 81 two, three and four-bedroom houses for private sale and 20 affordable properties.

Chantrey Park will eventually comprise 300 homes and feature green open space towards the north of the site to create a seamless transition with the existing Lincolnshire countryside.

The first homes are expected to be released for sale at Chantrey Park later this summer, with a view to the first residents moving in early next year.

Helene Key, Sales Manager for Chestnut Homes, said: “As the images illustrate, we are building well-crafted and traditional house types at Chantrey Park which reflect the existing character of Market Rasen as well as surrounding towns and villages.

“Construction work is progressing well at the site, and we are looking forward to releasing the first set of properties onto the market imminently and then welcoming the first residents into their new homes in early 2022.

“Chantrey Park will offer buyers a prime location for their new home, as it is situated just over half a mile from Market Rasen town centre, meaning buyers will be within a 20-minute walk of an array of amenities, such as shops, schools, health facilities and the town’s railway station.”

In line with planning agreements for the first phase of Chantrey Park, Chestnut Homes will be contributing £199,859 towards improvements to Market Rasen Primary School and £42,975 towards improvements to the town’s surgery.

The Lincolnshire developer will also be contributing £45,000 towards providing a skate park in the town and £3,500 toward signage to create a foot and cycle path between the development and Church Bridge.

Chestnut Homes is currently building new homes at various other sites across Lincolnshire, including Dunholme. For more information, visit chestnuthomes.co.uk.
