SURVEY REVEALS THE MOST IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS FOR NOTTINGHAMSHIRE RESIDENTS WHEN MOVING HOME

There are a lot of considerations that come alongside moving home, and a new survey from leading housebuilders Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes have revealed the most important factors to Nottinghamshire homebuyers.

The survey, conducted by the five star developers*, disclosed that residents in the county deem the quality of the local neighbourhood as the most important aspect when moving, with the amount of lighting also being an important consideration.

Therefore, the housebuilders are identifying why their developments in Nottinghamshire may suit the considerations of property seekers in the area.

Comfort in the Home

Having spent more time than ever in our homes as a result of the pandemic, it has become clear how important comfort is. With working from home becoming the norm for many people, having the ideal space to focus and relax in is vitally important.

It is therefore no surprise that 57% of homebuyers in Nottinghamshire have identified comfort as a top priority.

Rachael Harrison, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “It is easy to see how feeling at ease in your own home is a top consideration for homebuyers. All of our homes are designed to give the resident lots of space, such as an open-plan kitchen.

“Alongside this, many of our properties include dedicated studies or work spaces which can help to achieve a good work-life balance whilst working at home, in which socialising isn’t impacted by work, and vice versa.”

Amount of Light in the Property

With 46% of people in Nottinghamshire prioritising the amount of light with the property, Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes are highlighting why their properties might meet these needs.

Jan Ruston, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “Not only are our homes are styled using high quality materials and tasteful fixtures and fittings, but they are designed in a way to maximise natural light.

“Many of our properties feature modern open-plan kitchens with dining and family areas, making the property feel spacious. Many also include French doors which allow for lots of natural light to fill the kitchen. Some also boast larger windows to increase the amount of light within the property.”
