BLOKES LAUNCHES INNOVATIVE RANGE OF MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH COASTERS

East Midlands-based not-for-profit men’s mental health community interest company (CIC) blOKes has unveiled an innovative range of coasters, designed to encourage men to have more open and honest conversations around their thoughts and feelings.

The brand-new coasters feature provocative messaging that is designed to inspire men to both acknowledge their own mental health, but also recognise if one of their friends, family members or colleagues might be struggling.

Founded in June 2020, blOKes provide men (16+) with a safe, supportive and non-judgemental platform to open up about their mental health, connect with likeminded people and tell a #MaleTale. The online forum-based platform is free-to-use and allows members to share peer-to-peer experiences, stories and advice based on their own mental health journeys.

Tom Home, founder of blOKes, said: “I am absolutely delighted to have launched this new range of coasters in the hope of encouraging men to start those important conversations relating to mental health with their friends, family members and colleagues. It’s no secret that there’s a stigma surrounding men talking about their thoughts and feelings, which is why men often don’t feel comfortable or confident enough to disclose how they are truly feeling to those around them.

“I hope these new coasters will act as a constant reminder that it’s not weak for men to speak about their mental health, and no matter how it seems sometimes, you’re never alone. As a not-for-profit organisation, all money raised is put towards providing schools, colleges, universities, sports clubs and businesses across the UK with free men’s mental health resources and materials.”
