The site of the former Housing Aid building in Nottingham city centre has taken a step closer to being turned into a major student accommodation scheme.
Developer Watkin Jones has been given the backing of city council planning chiefs to build 354 student flats at 135-137 Lower Parliament Street, on land which is now used as surface car parking, ahead of a planning committee meeting next Wednesday (September 22).
Student accommodation management company Fresh has been lined up to run the scheme, which would include 48 car parking spaces, handed back to Nottingham City Council.
