Age-defying celebrity skin tightening treatment introduced to Derby clinic

Patients at a Derby aesthetic clinic can ‘knock years off their age’ with a new facial sculpting treatment celebrated by the likes of Amanda Holden and Kim Kardashian.

The CosmeDocs Midlands clinic on Burton Road, Derby, has invested thousands of pounds in the Morpheus8 machine, which is the first and only device to mould fat subdermally, morphing ageing facial features into a more youthful appearance.

The high-tech, non-surgical procedure has caused a stir in the beauty world after the two stars praised it on social media.

Morpheus8 delivers treatment from a hand-held device containing tiny needles that can be programmed to rapidly penetrate the skin tissue up to a maximum depth of 4mm on the face and 7mm on the body.

The patent needles deliver radio frequency energy below the skin, fractionally remoulding fatty areas and causing the skin to tighten in a safe and controlled manner.

Dr Tayyab Bhatti, director of CosmeDocs Midlands, said the procedure was particularly suited to tightening skin around the face, jawline and neck, however could also be used for skin tightening on the abdomen, under the arms and even treat cellulite and scarring such as stretch marks.

He said: “Morpheus8 is quite an investment for the clinic, but it’s an extremely impressive piece of kit. The technology is very advanced – and the results are incredible.

“There’s a very good reason why celebrities have praised the procedure so highly, so it’s fantastic that people in the East Midlands can now see for themselves what all the fuss is about.”

Dr Bhatti, who runs the Derby clinic alongside his twin brother, Dr Aqib Bhatti, said “Morpheus8 was safe on all types of skin and was good for treating facial irregularities such as acne scars as well as lines, wrinkles and general skin tone improvement.”

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden posted a photo on her Instagram account last year thanking facial expert Nilam Holmes from the Derma Spa clinic, in Milton Keynes, for introducing her to the technique.

Amanda wrote: “The other week before filming started on the @bgt live shows, Nilam suggested I try a new natural treatment called Morpheus8! The results have been absolutely amazing. I’ve noticed a real plumpness to my skin and it’s much tighter.”

She added: “It’s been the best hour investment for looking at least five years younger.”

Global celebrity Kim Kardashian filmed herself on Instagram getting the micro-needling treatment in Singapore.

Morpheus8 has also been lauded by Judy Murray, the mother of tennis ace Andy. She sang its praises after being treated at a clinic in Glasgow, saying it made her look “10 years younger”.

According to Dr Bhatti, clients at his Burton Road clinic can expect to see noticeable results in just 3 sessions. Prices start at £500 a session.
