Local charity Notts County Foundation has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Co-op Local Community Fund for Nottingham.
The Co-op Local Community Fund supports projects across the UK every time shoppers purchase selected Co-op branded products and scan their membership card at the checkout. Via the Co-op’s website and app, people can choose Notts County Foundation as the cause they would like to support each time they shop at particular Co-op supermarkets, with 2p for every pound spent being donated to the multi-award-winning charity.
Sam Crawford, Head of Business Development at Notts County Foundation, said: “We are incredibly proud to have been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Co-op’s Local Community Fund until October 2022. Being a community-orientated charity, our range of programmes and projects aim to help and support as many different people as possible throughout Nottingham and Nottinghamshire with their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.”
Shoppers will be able to select Notts County Foundation as their chosen charitable cause at two Co-op stores in the city – Station Road and the Bridgeway Centre in the Meadows – until October 2022.
Sam continued: “It goes without saying that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted people’s lives in a multitude of different ways, and the funds generated from people’s kind pledges will contribute towards the expansion and development of our mental health-orientated programmes throughout 2022 and beyond.”
