A Peak District luxury holiday retreat has added a sumptuous new farmhouse to its offering for holiday makers visiting Derbyshire in 2022.
The Farmhouse at Wheeldon Trees in Earl Sterndale is now open for bookings following a complete renovation.
The detached historic farmhouse is set across two beautiful floors. Downstairs there’s a stunning sitting room with wood-burning stove, farmhouse kitchen, snug, reading room and powder room. Local pottery from Denby fills the kitchen. Upstairs there are three large double bedrooms. The main bedroom has a new ensuite shower room and an additional family bathroom has a rain shower and freestanding pink roll top bath. The Farmhouse sleeps six adults and there’s room for cots too. Outside is a private garden with a Swedish wood-burning hot tub.
Wheeldon Trees Cottages was purchased by Steve Roche in June 2021. Since then, it has undergone a series of upgrades in facilities with more planned in the future. “Our 10 luxury cottages are set in one of Derbyshire's most breath-taking valleys,” explains Steve.
“Close to Buxton and Bakewell in the Peak District National Park, the retreat has an honesty shop packed with treats, super-fast WIFI, free electric vehicle charging, a children's play area, a laundry, free electric bike hire, and 12 acres of Peak District National Park to enjoy.”
