Christmas shoppers in Leicester will be dreaming of a white Christmas this year, as they are in with a chance of a full refund on their Christmas purchases from jewellery and watch emporium Lumbers, located on the High Street, as part of a Christmas campaign with a twist.
Their innovative ‘Let It Snow’ campaign gives customers who purchase items in-store or online between 9th November and 10th December a chance of receiving a FULL refund if snow falls on the roof of Lumbers store on Christmas Day between 11am and 1pm.
The offer is applicable on the items on the jeweller's website and in the High Street store itself, part of the city’s shopping district for over 140 years, which includes luxury brands such as Omega, Breitling and Tudor. The business is hoping this campaign will make a Christmas to remember for customers who purchase anything from diamond ear-studs to luxury Swiss watches.
Dominic Gomersall, Managing Director at Lumbers, said “We are so excited to launch our snow campaign for the festive season to give back to our amazing customers and add some extra excitement to the most wonderful time of the year.
“We will be waiting with bated breath for snow to fall on the roof of Lumbers on Christmas Day this year as it’ll put the icing on the cake for customers who take part in our festive fun. The last couple of years with the pandemic having made Christmases a little different than usual so we wanted to bring some extra festive cheer to Christmas 2022.
“The Bookies have been shortening the odds on a white Christmas thanks to the long-range weather forecasts. We like to think buying a gift or two at Lumbers in the next few weeks is a much better bet than going to the bookmakers.”
There is no limit on how much a customer can hope to get back, with refunds potentially covering some high-ticket items including a £195,000 10.50cts cushion cut diamond ring and a £66,000 Breguet watch, as well as engagement rings and all Christmas gift purchases.
The Met Office recorded snow falling at 6% of UK weather stations in 2021 and this year, the odds of a white Christmas have been slashed from 2-1 to 4-5.
